About Lunaria

Hey-hey, welcome to Lunaria! My alias is Lynette V. Bloomqvist, and I’m the founder of Lunaria. 

I’m a competitive swimmer—specializing in breaststroke— an obsessive catalog-keeper, and a cat-lover. My favorite genres to read are memoirs, poetry and classical literature.

“So what even is Lunaria? “ one might ask. 

Lunaria is a platform established for depth and detail, whether that be through the metaphorical imagery of the lyrical essay section or the decisive arguments made in the analytical essay section. In my opinion, the most important thing about having a platform like this one is to discuss the issues plaguing our world today and amplify others’ voices thus fostering a community that uplifts everyone.

Above all, my dream is that this website becomes a place of resonance, as writing has always been a means of communication and connection beyond academia. In the future, I hope to expand the scope of my writing towards freelancing and potentially writing a collection of essays, but we’re not quite there yet! Join me for the journey?
