About Lunaria

Hey-hey, welcome to Lunaria! My alias is Lynette V. Bloomqvist, and I’m an aspiring scientist and global health advocate, exploring the intersections of biotechnology, pharmacology and ethical procedure.

I’m a swimmer through and through, obtaining much of my inspiration from the water’s depths. I also love reading, especially poetry, memoirs and classical literature.

“Why my career of interest? ” one might ask…

Because… as we’ve grown up, as the world has expanded before us, we’re exposed to the reality that things rarely work the way we remember them being taught to us; We notice the inconsistencies and injustices in the multitude of systems that surround us, and it creates this sense of clarity in understanding that true, impactful change starts from within our communities, in giving issues proper reflection, action and attention.

Lunaria, I hope, will be a place that offers depth and detail, whether that be in the emotions explored in the lyrical essay section or the arguments made in the analytical essay section. Above all, my hope is that this website becomes a place of resonance, as writing has always been a means of communication and connection beyond academia.
